- Cocking & Loading: The operator pulls the slide to the rear while placing the butt against their hip. This action cocks the internal spring and feeds one Dragon Egg sphere into the barrel.
- Charging & Launching: On the forward (return) stroke, a needle pierces the sphere and the pump injects the precise amount of glycol reactant. The spring releases automatically at the end of this forward stroke, launching the charged sphere to the desired location.
- Delayed Ignition: A reliable delay of 20 to 60 seconds (dependent on ambient temperature) occurs before the sphere ignites upon landing, allowing ample time for the operator to move or adjust position.
