PyroShot Spring Launcher
The PyroShot FBS-1 gives prescribed fire and wildland fire crews a fast, effective way to place ignition points beyond the reach of a traditional drip torch. Designed for ground ignition operations, the FBS-1 can launch charged incendiary spheres up to 75 feet, allowing operators to work across ditches, creeks, fences, briars, drainages, and other difficult terrain without having to cross them.
A simple pull-and-push action loads the sphere, charges it with ethylene glycol, and launches it toward the desired ignition point. The entirely mechanical system requires no batteries or external power source, making it simple and dependable in the field.

With an adjustable range of approximately 40–75 feet, an operator can place ignition points anywhere across a swath of up to 150 feet while moving through an area.
